HL7 Enabling Connected Care in Europe and Globally

Monday, May 13, 12:30 – 15:15, Wicklow Meeting Room 1

This complimentary HL7 session is a unique opportunity to gain insights on the impact of HL7 standards becoming freely available under license and be updated from HL7 national and international leaders. Join us and get a copy of the most recent HL7 in Europe newsletter.

Open to all, pre-registration required.

HL7 exists to support connected care. In a monumental decision last month, HL7 International announced that its standards will be freely available to use in support of the public good. The focus of this year’s event is three-fold:  standards bridging healthcare and clinical research; standards bridging health and social care; emerging business models for standards development and adoption.

Join us to ask questions and share your thoughts.

A vibrant global HL7 community brings together IT experts, clinicians, government agencies, payers, educators and research groups. HL7 standards are at the heart of national, regional and local eHealth programmes in over 50 countries.  Affiliated Organizations in close to 40 countries, 18 in Europe alone, bring together eHealth stakeholders to reflect on local requirements and drive adoption. The HL7 portfolio includes the popular Clinical Document Architecture (CDA), the newly emerging Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR), the Version 3 Reference Information Model (RIM) and its various families of protocols and the long-established Version 2 standards which still provide the backbone of global healthcare communications. The HL7 session during the eHealth Week provides an opportunity to learn about the impact of HL7 standards becoming freely available and to hear from HL7 national and international leaders.
